A Week of Miracles - Una Semana de Milagros

Sent by Elder Read on 13th October

One thing Elder Read learnt the previous week was never to put his fingers in boiling oil!  It was an accident and it hurt!!!
Duele...

It had been raining a lot and it even felt a little cold - 19 or 18 degrees!!  Since that feels cold, how's he going to cope when Her returns home in December??

Last Monday 13th October they were going to a Museum of the Inquisition, so we could be forgiven for thinking that he hurt his fingers there!  It costs 3 euros to get in so he was hoping it would be worth it.

At last they have found someone to teach.  The other day they passed a man sleeping on the ground, which suggested that he was poor and homeless.  Elder Pomazón continued walking on, but Elder Read felt that he should return and help the man, so he prayed in his head about how to help the man, while hearing the words "minister to thy brethren."  So they returned to see how the man was, but he didn't wake up, so it occurred to Elder Read to buy him something to eat.  There was a supermarket close by so they went and bought something - a couple of sandwiches and a drink - and placed them beside the man with their card and phone number.  From past experience they really didn't expect to see that man again.

However, just half-an-hour later He phoned them!  His name was Jon and was a very humble man.  On the Friday they taught him and his friend and invited them both to be baptised. And they accepted so a date is going to be arranged very soon. Elder Read says that Jon is very good and sincere and all he wants to do is to serve God.  On the Sunday he arrived at church just as they were finishing, but they were expecting him to arrive on time the following week.

The Lord expects us to help others whenever we can, so Elder Read asks us to seek the opportunity to do so.

Pan - Bread

19 o18 grados. ¡ME DA FRÍO!

Solo quieren servir a Dios.
