Huelva and Elder Chacón

Elder Read y Elder Avilés

Elder Read was delighted because they went to Huelva, his first area, for P-Day.  He didn't see any members but he saw various streets and other things that reminded him very much of his time there.  He's sending photos, but they haven't arrived yet.

Last week was "super buena" - in other words really really good.  Elder Read and his companion Elder Metcalf work really well together.  They spoke to the bishop last Sunday and he knows that they are there to serve the ward.  In fact they have started to give service.  There is a small field beside the chapel where they have been removing all the long grass, with the goal of having some form of activity there oner day.  The truth is, he says, that the ward needs a lot of help.

They have a baptismal date, which they are sure will happen as he is really good, and they are sure that the parents will follow as soon as they can.

So all is going really well, which gives Elder Read great joy. Elder Avilés is a really good missionary, with a lot of patience, and you'll recall that he and Elder Sandelin are also in the area although in a different flat. 

There are a lot of people ready and prepared in Seville.  All they have to do is to find them, says Elder Read.  He knows without doubt that this is the work of the Lord and that nothing can stop it, even when nearly everyone says God doesn't exist and that there is nothing out there. He know that if we follow God he'll always help us and never fail us.

This was a wonderful encounter!  We met Elder Chacón last Sunday when we were at Weston-Super-Mare First Ward and discovered that he comes from Huelva, Elder Read's first area and where he went for P-Day on Monday.  He started his mission in June 2012 but met Elder Read at London Temple just before he started his mission.  Elder Read was able to give service to the Chacón family and had mentioned his visits to them to us, so we were well aware of each other. We told Elder Read about this encounter and he said he looks forward to meeting them again.

Eso fue un encuentro maravilloso. Encontramos Elder Chacón el domingo pasado cuando estábamos al Barrio   Weston-Super-Mare Uno y hemos descubierto que viene de Huelva, la primera área de Elder Read y donde fue lunes por su P-Day. Elder Chacón empezó su misión a Inglaterra junio 2012, pero encontró  Elder Read  al templo de Londres en noviembre 2013 un poco antes empezó su misión.  Elder Read tuvo la oportunidad a dar servicio a la familia Chacón  y nos explicó en su correo. Dijimos a Elder Read sobre nuestro encuentro y dijo:     "La verdad es que estoy muy animado para verles y a él otra vez un día." 

Elder Read dice:
La verdad es que me dio muchísima alegría. Pues hoy de hecho fui a Huelva para mi p-day. NO vi a ningún miembro pero sí vi a algunas calles y cosas que me recordaron mucho de mi tiempo allí. Les estoy mandando fotos :) 

Pues esta semana a sido super buena :) mi compañero y yo estamos mas unidos aún y todo va super bien la verdad. Hablamos con el obispo ayer y el sabe que estamos aquí para servir.

Empezamos a hacer servicio para el barrio. Tienen un campo pequeño alado de la capilla. Elder Metcalf y yo os pusimos a trabajar para quitar toda le hierba mala del campo. La meta es que se puede hacer un tipo de actividad allí un día. La verdad es que el barrio necesita mucho ayuda.

Tenemos una fecha para bautizar por cierto porque es muy buena. Seguro que sus padres seguirán pronto.

Lunes fueron a ver a un museo (quizás el único abierto en toda España  normalmente cierran) Sobre las tres caravelas y Cristóbal Colón.
On Monday they went to a museum - perhaps the only one open in all Spain as they normally close.  It was about  Christopher Columbus.

Pues todo va super bien. me alegro que todos están bien :) Élder Avilés es un muy buen misionero con mucha paciencia. Ustedes recordarán que esta en la misma área con Elder Sandelin pero en otro piso.

Hay muchas personas listas y preparadas aquí en Sevilla. Solo hay que buscarlas.  Sé din duda que esta es la obra del señor, lo sé y no lo puedo negar, aún cuando casi toda le gente de dicen que dios no existe y que no hay nada. Lo sé y sé que si seguimos adelante dios siempre nos ayudará y NUNCA nos va a fallar,
